Hey all, Been a while.
I have a AKMS and an AR. The AR is pretty standard with 1/2x28 threads. I am looking to QD an AAC 762-SDN-6 on both, and eventually on a Bolt action 308. The AKMS has left hand threads. Can anybody give me some guidance on QD mounts for both of the current guns? Flash Hiders and or Muzzle breaks. Links and info would be helpful |
| I'm waiting on stamp for my SDN-6 just bought it Friday, but I'm going to run the BREAKOUT on mine, I like the first break chamber for an extra blast baffle to save some life on my can. You can check them out on AAC website, I bought both off mine of SilencerShop.com |

Please note that I said "The AK has left hand threads" meaning it is already threaded. It has a compensator on it now that is and has bee removed. I need to know which mount and thread to use... For the AR, you'd either want this flash hider: AAC 51t Flash Hider This muzzle brake: AAC 51t Muzzle Brake Or this combo flash hider/muzzle brake: AAC Brakeout 51t Mount For the AK, you will either have to find some kind of adapter to get your threads to 1/2x28 or have the barrel rethreaded. AAC doesn't make an AK thread-pattern mount. |
| Keep in mind that the AK threads probably aren't very concentric to bore....so even if you find a mount for left hand threads...you risk destroying your can. Do it right the first time and get a competent gunsmith to thread the barrel with right hand threads that are concentric to bore. Assuming your AK is 7.62, you'd probably want 5/8x24 threads for your suppressor mount. |

AAC doesn't make a LH 14x1 suppressor mount, they recommend re-threading to 1/2"x28 for an AK.
