| I have a YHM 7.62 can and I have a round that is stuck in the 2nd to last baffle in the can. There is not damage to the can just the loose round in it. I need help on how to get it out. |
|
Get a compressor and try to put some 120psi through it while attempting to shake and see if it lines up somehow.
Or send it to YHM after you call them tomorrow morning. Good luck OP. Also––-who loaded the ammunition...what barrel length....this might be worthwhile info to see specs on how fast that bullet was going. |
| They had a guy awhile back on another forum have the same thing happen. I believe he was trying to see if a .380 bullet would fit before he tried using it on a 9mm carbine. It ended up getting stuck like yours inbetween baffles. YHM took care of it from what I remeber. |
i have had the same thing happen to me but with my 556 can. i was testing some subs and one didn't make it out the can.
here is what i did. my bullet was stuck in between the blast baffle and the next one. so what i did was get a short length of string and some super glue. i set the can up on end and lightly shook it back and forth until the tip of the bullet could be seen through the bore of the can. once it was there i put a very small drop of super glue on the end of the sting and slowly lowered it until it was toughing the tip of the bullet. i held it there for a minute and then just pulled the bullet out by the sting. be sure to use a very thin string don't try to use 550 cord. good luck! just a hint... it took me about 5 minutes to get the bullet to sit just right where i could see the tip through the bore. it wasn't easy, just take your time. |

Dental floss would probably work well for this. |

I may have to try that. It's a tight squeeze tho. Use a chopstick and a little patience. I know a guy that dropped a loaded round in to his can to test the clearances. He's still a member of this board. I won't mention locksmith76 by name though. that would be wrong. TRG |
