Explain the form 4 suppressor proccess to me, is it something you submit first like my SBR form 1 and then buy suppressor after receiving stamp, or do you go to your local FFL/ class 3 dealer pay for the suppressor have FFL order it and when it comes in do form 4 then once stamp comes back you pick it up? Or how's it work, I understand ATF considers it a firearm and you would need a SSN right? So I'm assuming my option 2 would be the proper way of doing it. But please school me on getting my first suppressor!!

If your local dealer has it in stock, then you would send off the form 4, wait 6-7 months before approval, then you would be able to take possession.
if your local dealer does not have it in stock, then you or they would order it from the manufacturer or another dealer, wait on the form 3 approval, then once the suppressor is in the shop, send off the form 4 and wait 6-7 months |
