Well as many of you know the missouri law changed last august that allows me to get a suppressor so I have been thinking about one. The local shop has YHM and I really like the Ti 7.62 phantom QD, or the SS model that weights 13oz more but is listed at 725 so I can use it on my 300BLK and 556 but he is selling at list. Is there any reason I shouldn't be able to get one closer to the 900 range like I see online in a shop somewhere else in the state? I also have a question on the process, Do most shops have you pay for the can when you order or do you pay on pickup? If you feel there is something else I should be looking at for a can I would be glad to research other brands also.

Thanks

I'm sure different shops have their different ways of handling things but almost all shops in my area require payment up front for something like this. That being said, the shop I frequent has the same policy but over the past few years I've spent a good amount of $$ there and built a rapport with the owners and employees... and the last SBR and suppressor I ordered, I asked when initially interested if I could pay when I picked up and they allowed me to do so.

Thanks you, I was curious if It was normal policy or not.

Where are you going in MO to look at them? I am slightly interested in purchasing one sometime.

And from what i hear some places have you put a deposit down basically on them, say half when you

order and the other half when you pick it up

Hate to tell ya, but suppressors have been legal for us since 08'.  You just had to have a C&R license.
