Is an H3 buffer to heavy to run in a suppressed 11.5 carbine length gas system?

Nope, the H3 should be fine for use on a rack grade 11.5" that's suppressed 100% of the time.

With a tuned gas port barrel it may be too much.  The biggest indicator of too much buffer or too strong an action spring is bolt over ride malfs.

I was using a H3 in my upper that had a little over sized gas port.
Slowed things down enough to make it usable.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could run 100% reliably with an H3 and no can.  I used to run MGI buffers a lot and they are 7.2 ounce buffers and most stock guns will run with them unsuppressed (though some won't).  The H3 is ~5.3 ounces.
