I sent in my first packet to the ATF for my YHM 7.62 QD can  . I sent it in the first week in November but they still haven't cashed my check. I know I have a nice wait ahead of me, but I just want some indication that they received my paperwork. Does it always take this long for them to cash the check?

I usually send mine certified delivery notification so I get back a card letting me know it was received & who signed for it.
Call the general BATF NFA phone number 304.616.4500 and inquire about your serial #. You won't be bothering an examiner or slowing anything down by doing it. I like to call about every 2 weeks the first month and a half, then every month or two until approval comes through. It's saved me a lot of trouble and heart ache to discover problems earlier than "when someone dug mine out of the pile" to tell me there was an issue. |
