[ARCHIVED THREAD] - thread pitch

Going to have a local machinist put a barrel on a mauser m1908 action to build a precision rifle. going to have him thread it for a suppressor, or flash hider that a suppressor will mount to.

I need suggestions for the thread pitch for the end of the barrel.

Barrel will be a 20" chambered for .308. He made the barrel himself, I will talk with him for the rifling pitch, etc.

Any hints?

I'm not sure what you're really wanting, but most .30 cal muzzle accessories are 5/8x24 tpi and .625 long.

Pitch diameter is something different, though.
