Is there a 22 ammo that shoots cleaner, or is it a case by case depending on your bbl/can?

I'm looking to find something that leaves the least amount of mess in a can, used mainly on pistols, but also on rifles.

Is the copper plated stuff any easier to clean up after than straight lead?

TIA.

Pull some bullets on a lot of those plated rounds and you might see exposed lead bases.  Other rounds have very thin plating and can still leave some lead fouling in the suppressor depending on the host weapon (e.g. barrel length, cycle rate, etc.).

There really isn't a magic answer especially when you factor in that a lot of host weapons are ammo "picky".

Your best bet really is using a suppressor you can clean.  Then just find the ammo your hosts like best and enjoy.

I will say many of the cheaper bulk packaged stuff tends to leave more crud in my suppressors.  CCI doesn't seem as bad.

Sorry I can't help more.
