I've used some of it with my M&P9 + Multimount. It was super quiet. I now use this ammo. |

Any reason you switched? |

| Seems for $480 you could get yourself a dillon Square deal in 9mm and some components and start cranking out your own. This straight wall pistol ammo is so damn simple to reload, clean brass, and on my 550B it's size, deprime, drop powder, expand case, and crimp. Reloading gets a little more complicated when you switch to rifle ammo. Really it's that simple, pick up old brass and clean, and once through the machine and out comes good ammo. I have some 9mm cases I've probably loaded 3 times. Because the pressures are so low and as long as you don't overwork your brass it should go for many more reloads. And with the dillon once you have your head set with your powder you never have to tinker with that set up agaign. |

| I currently use American Eagle 147Gr 9mm as my subsonic of choice...but will no longer be purchasing any. In around 15 boxes, I've had two incidents with it... a kaboom in a 1911 (that thankfully both the 1911 and suppressor survived), and a squib load that got stuck in the barrel in my M&P. I've never had any other incident with any other ammunition I've purchased except these. I'll be looking elsewhere for subsonic when I purchase more. |

is reloading pretty much the only way to find subsonic self-defense style 9mm ammo? Anything that's 147gr should stay subsonic. 147gr JHP is the only 9mm self-defense ammo I use to begin with. Haven't fired any through my M&P with the can on it, though. Not true. While virtually all 147 9mm stays subsonic in a handgun, a significant amount will be supersonic in the longer barrel of an MP5 or UZI. |
