Looking at getting a .30 caliber can. I'd like to run it on my AK, and thread my .30-06 and .308 blt guns for it. Question is can I get them in 1/2x28R so I can also use it on my 5.56 cal guns? Anyone make one? Better off getting a 5.56 can and a .30 cal can?

It is best to check with the manufacturer to check what 30 cal the can is rated for. As far as a 1/2X28 thread, if you go with say a 7.62SD with the the quick detach system. You would just purchase a hider with 1/2X28 thread but, your 30 cal can will work just fine. That is one of the best features of the AAC 7.62SD can, one can, multi calibers. It is a well built, high performance can. I have used it with great effect on 308, 6.8, 223, and even 22 caliber, even a 17 Remington, and last but not least, the 300-221.

My YHM 7.62 phantom QD fits 5.56 1/2x28 mounts.

1 can:

It is a beautiful thing.

Sig 556

 300 whisper

7.62x39 AK

5.56 SBR AR

5.56 Bolt action.

7.62x51 M1A Scout

Heck. Here is it on a 7.62 Nagant

Or how about a P22?

The can weighs more than the damn gun.

Don't get an AAC.

I did & while the 762SD is a great 30 cal can that works very very well on both AR-15s & AR10s, I have not been able to find any REASONABLE way to mount it to my AKs with LEFT HAND threaded barrels.  I'd even pay the $99 to AAC for another 18T adapter, but they show no signs of ever making one for left hand AK threads.  Yes I know of their concerns about com-bloc concentricity.  Other makers don't seem to share those concerns because they DO make adapters for AKs.

-I don't want to have all my AKs re-threaded, sorry, not a solution IMHO.
