I have a brand new 762SD. So far I mounted it on my 14.5" m16 with the blackout.
I notice after a few (10-20) rounds on the blackout&m16 it backs off to the next position.I tightened it as much as I could, and it would do it again. 18t mount, fyi. Thoughts? Also, who makes a good insulator for it.. Man it gets hot :) |

It's pretty common for AAC suppressors to fall halfway on a notch (especially with the 18T mounts) when they are tight onto the shoulder of the flash hider and then back off to seat fully into the previous notch. Even the 51t mounts can do this. My M4-2000 tightens right down fully engaged in the notch, but many don't. As long as it doesn't wobble, you're ok. |
| I haven't had any issue with my 762-SD backing off yet. And for the other question I keep a couple of Ov-gloves in my range bag. I picked them up a couple of years ago at half price so I got 2. The work very well. WIll still get warm on a VERY hot can, But is the best, cheapest and lightest weighted one. You can use welding Gloves but they are heavy, don't flex very well so they are very bulky. You can buy the ov-glove at most Walmarts. |

Maybe 20 to 25 rounds. I talked to the TAB guys. That's exactly what they say. Used only as a mirage blanket, not a heat shield. |
