So I'm looking at getting a new upper for my AR15.  I want to get a suppressor in the next year and want this upper to be compatible.  I'm pretty sure I'll end up going with an OPS Inc 12th can since they seem to have received the best overall reviews in suppression.  So that's my first question, do you all agree?
Second, I can build another upper or buy this one which is damn near identical to what I want to build: here
I want a DD Lite rail with a BCM barrel.  In the options they list some flashhiders they will permanently pin on, but I'm sure if I order something and have it shipped to them, they would install it for a small fee.

Question number 2 is will a 12th model can fit on a 14.5 with the collar on a 12" rail or will the rail need to be 10"?  I can't seem to find specs anywhere of how much clearance you need.  And with regards to the contour, it will fit on a standard M4 profile I believe correct?

I just don't want to have something pinned on now and then have it ruined when it gets removed so I have to buy a new FH.  I'd rather just be forward thinking so when I get the can I already have the mount installed.

I have an Ops 12th.  Actually for your setup it would be easier to go with the Ops 16th model.  It has the same baffle stack as the 12th so suppression is pretty much the same.  Plus you may decide later you want to get one of the other models later like the little M4-S.  The Ops M4-S, 14th, 15th and 16th models all share the same mount setup.  Since the 12th model sits a little further back over the barrel you would be limited to just that model...something to think about.
