| i'm about to buy my first can. i was thinking about going the .22 route first, then maybe another later. here's what i was wanting to do. i have an AR, and was wanting to get a .22 lr kit for it, that way it already has a threaded barrel and i wouldn't have to get a new rifle. will a converted .22 AR with a can work ok? i would like to get a .22 pistol later that i could use the can on. anyone know of some .22 pistols with threaded barrels? which .22 can should i get? or should i get a can that will work with the 5.56 round on my AR, then just use it for the .22 as well? (will it work ok?) any help is appreciated. |

Silencerco makes the coolest .22 lr suppressor on the market IMO. I've heard it head to head against a ton of other cans and it is by far the quietest and it has a very unique patented monolithic baffle stack. Anyway, check it out and I'm sure you would be happy with it. On a side note, I don't recommend any .22lr can with a drop in kit. I'm not sure the rifling on your AR would stablize the bullet well enough to be able to avoid baffle strikes.
