Looking for a threaded 21 barrel is this the only option? It's the only one I've found?

That's the only one I'm aware of.

I'd considered getting a Bobcat as a host for my Element, but the relatively shorter sights would make them completely useless with the can attached in front of it.

Cute little thing, though...

The sights aren't much use even without a can.

My 21A is currently off with Tornado Tech getting threaded for my Spectre. It will be interesting using a can that is larger and heavier than the host.

Beretta, with an E.

Pics or videos?  I am looking at one of these, only found one video on youtube with a suppressor so far.

I seem to recall a thread from several months back on threading the 21A.  There was a company that could produce a threaded muzzle for the factory barrel. My memory wants to say GemTech, but I am not certain...

ETA: YES!!!!!! I ain't the old forgetful fart that I thought I was. Here is an archived thread about threading the 21A. GemTech, SRT Arms, and High Desert can do the work...

I went the hi-desert dog route and spent 7 months shipping the barrel back and forth until I got one back that didn't fall apart (they said 1 piece barrel, it was a thread adapter/collar).  I'm still not happy with the one I have but got tired of paying for shipping.  The feed ramp has a divot in it that causes malfunctions that I'll be fixing myself.

Suffice it to say - the first time I had an issue with the barrel they gave me it was un-acceptable.  My niece was shooting it with an Outback II attached, pop..pop..pop... BANG.  Down range flies the suppressor with the thread adapter attached.  Red locktite dried and rotter all over the crappy threads.  Took literally 7 months to get one that worked, shipped it back and forth 3 times to finally "resolve" the issue.

Save yourself the trouble and send it to Gemtech or SRT.

For those who doubt:

I'll take some macro shots of the feed ramp later and post up showing the other issue I mentioned.

We at Gemtech do this work on the 21A. We build a custom liner from a piece of barrel blank that has the 1/2-28 threads on one end. We then bore the entire barrel and permanently install the liner. We then chamber and reblue the barrel. Basically, this extends the barrel and has rifling all the way to the end. Turn-around depends on what I have going on at the time and can vary from a week to several months. Cost runs $140 if you send only the barrel, $150 plus return UPS air if you send the whole gun. I cannot post a photo simply because I don't own one of these pistols personally.

This is why I bought a set of laser grips to play with on my wife's tomcat and bobcat!

Picked up my Beretta Bobcat today.  Best place to get it threaded, don't really care how long it takes.

I will.

I sent mine to Gemtech, and am 100% satisfied. (sorry it's not a Gemtech can...I do love my Viper .45 though)

Look around.  I just found one on Gunbroker that had a replacement 1-piece threaded barrel.  Now I just need to find a smaller can for it.

WOW that is awesome.  Must have video.  How much does that can weigh?  I bet it weighs more than the gun, fully loaded.  One piece threaded barrel?

According to Bower's website, the can is around 18 oz.  Beretta says the gun is 11.5 oz. unloaded.

I bought the gun used, and the seller didn't seem to know where the barrel came from.  He did indicate that it was a replacement and not a rework of his original barrel.  I know GemTech will bore out the barrel and put in a full-length liner with a threaded end.  This is still a 2-piece arrangement (barrel + liner).  If the barrel on my gun has a liner, it was done so well that I can't see any seam anywhere.

Nice.  The company I am considering threads the actual barrel, and makes an adapter.  Would be similar to the Walther adapter.  Very few threads on the end though, thats for sure.
