I've been considering buying the YHM-3300A, but their QD connector for 9/16-24 R/H threads keeps showing out of stock, since last October.  Are they still in suppressor business?  What's the deal?

since about july...  I ran into the same problem, and called them once in SEPT '09 and then again in NOV '09.  Both times I got the same anwser:  Yes, we're still making those products, and will have another batch out shortly just keep checking our website.  Been checking almost daily for the m14 mount and haven't seen anything...  I gave up and bought a thread adapter.  better luck to you

If you buy that can, it'll come with one QD flashider.  I ordered/paid for a Phantom 762 QD over two months ago and my dealer just got a call from YHM that it should be in their hands in a few days.

If you've got multiple hosts you wanna put flashiders on, the others will have to wait until they make more...  Funny thing is, I've been watching the 556 comp/brake show out of stock for over two months, and just when that one shows they've got some, the 762 shows out of stock...   So something is goin on there in the big brick factory, but they are a bit behind on everything it seems.

If I was you I'd just order it from Bryon at Major Malfunction and have him transfer it to your dealer.  My local dealer charged $200 for a transfer so it was cheaper to just order it, but if yours is $50 or even $100, Bryon's price will probly come out better than anywhere else.
check him out: http://www.major-malfunction.com/maj_malf_5u_013.htm  6th one down, looks like the Phantom 762 QD is $599 (w/ one mount)
And like the poster below notes, he carries pretty much all the mounts also...              I ordered a Gemtech Multimount from him and it came in just over three weeks...  very nice!

cheers, Benji

Wouldnt that keep you from paying in state tax also?

you mean like a sales tax?  I think as long as you don't live in Oklahoma (where Major Malfuntion is...) you wouldn't pay sales tax if you buy it from him and transfer it to a local dealer.  We don't have a sales tax in Oregon, so I can't speak from experience.  Only that in neighboring Washington (where there is a sales tax) we get out of it for the most part by showing Oregon ID.

Now if you're talking about the "TAX" tax, the $200 one, that you will always pay...  For a new can (from a dealer or manufacturer) the transfer is on a F3 from dealer to dealer, and there is no "TAX" fee on that transfer.  So you could pay an online vendor for a new can he's got; once his F3 clears the ATF he will send it to your in state dealer.  Once it arrives there, you go inspect it to verify the serial number; then you proceed to fill out the F4's, send them in, and then wait for a couple years until they come back...  That's how it worked for me when I bought from MM.  However if you buy a can already on a Form 4 from an individual out of state, I believe you would indeed have TWO $200 tax fees to get it across state lines and then into your name.

Check with Kevin in the Bright Flashlights forum over in the Industry section.  He sells YHM stuff, including suppressor mounts.

Order it the same time you order your can.  For my stuff, it took YHM about a month and a half to complete the order, which was 2 cans and 9 FH mounts (FAL, M1A, 3 AR-10's, and 4 AR-15's)

So much for you guys saying that the YHM mounts are easier to buy than the AAC mounts.

Mine were.

Even during the great "YHM silencer mount scare of July 2009", my local dealer had the extra mounts I wanted with an average of about 3 day lag.  You see, since he's not an individual but is a dealer, and he knows distributors who have buying power to order a lot at once and keep stuff in stock ready to ship...
