Any recommendations for a 5.56 suppressor for the Diablo? My AAC is not recommended for under 10.5"
Thanks |

You will NOT be able to use a supressor with the diablo upper AS BUILT.
Take a look at the specs. 7" barrel ? 7" rail? There not be enough thread past the rail to mount any QD or A2 flashhider and connect a supressor. I have a 7" rail with a 7.5" barrel, and it STILL isn't enough, because the threads are 5/8th of an inch, so you need at least 5/8th inch of barrel past the rail, which you won't unless you have a 7 & 5/8ths barrel...but even then you will still be hard pressed to fit the can because most, such as my m4-2000, reflex every so slightly past the shoulder of the barrel, so maybe 1/4 inch in my case. This basicly means you need to have AT LEAST 1" PAST the rail system to be able to mount most QD cans. So right now, I can't figure it out without buying a HBAR barrel, then paying the 155$ for adco to cut/thread/gasport/REPROFILE the entire thing to make it 8" long. PAIN IN THE BUTT! that's why you don't see many pictures of 7.5" uppers with supressors :) Here are some pics of the flashhiders and how they MUST extend past the rail (99% of the time). Otherwise it won't fit, or if you have some huge rail you won't be able to reach the QD lever. So basicly unscrew the3 COMP on the end of the diablo and look at it. You need AT LEAST all of the threads plus 1/4" extending past the rail. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=38686 |
