Hello all,

I am working on getting my first can, I will be suppressing a 14.5'' barreled AR. I am trying to decide which can to go with, either the AAC SPRM/4 or the OPS 12TH model? I would like to hear from people who have shot both or own both, and which one you like better and why? which one is quietest? Thanks in advance for your help. have a great day!

Just out of curiosity, why the SPR/M4 as opposed to the M4-2000?

Probably because the SPR-M4 and Ops 12th are similar in a lot of respects, and the M42000 is not.

Similar dimensions, and both are over the barrel, and he has a 14.5" barrel.

They are both great suppressors so you can't go wrong with either, but to me the 12th. model sound quieter.

What about going with a 7.62 style so you may also use it on other hosts. You could get AAC762SD, YHM Phantom SS 7.62, SWR, or Gemtech there are others to choose from.

Awesome thanks so much for the replies guys! I have addes the M42000 to the list, it is $100 less than the AACM4/SPR and has very simaller ratings. am i wrong in this thinking?

I believe it is against the laws of suppressing not to make your first suppressor purchase a .22lr model.
