I am in the middle of building an 18" SPR type rifle.  I have decided that even though I prefer the surfire muzzle devices, I am just going to go with AAC.  Cheaper than Surefire, Lighter than YHM, and they are not Gemtech.  (Gemtech makes a fine product, but I don't like their mounts).

My question is this.  I was looking at the AAC website, and found their muzzle breaks.  I don't see any information usually posted about their breaks, and was wanting to know what peoples experiences are with them.

Looking for actual experiences, not speculation, or rumor.  Thanks.

I put one on my LR 308. Prior to running the can, I used a Benne Cooley Comp. The AAC break is just as effective as the cooley even though it's smaller. Works great as a QD attachment as well. Couldn't be happier with the set up.

Thx, that's what I wanted to hear.

Why not go authentic and put an Ops Inc brake on it?  Better yet, just get the Ops 12th model and it comes with the muzzle brake system ready to go.  You'll have the quietest platform out there if you want to suppress it.

Cause Ops doesn't make a break for my Springfield scout for one, for 2  I also need a FH that works when unsuppressed.  I have multiple roles to fill.
