I'm pretty close to buying a LCW Predator.  Seems like a good deal for the price.  Does anyone have one?  Likes, dislikes?   I plan to use in on my 1r-15 .22 dedicated upper and maybe on a ruger mark 2.

its pretty archaic technologically and material wise by todays standards.  You're basically stuck with it for the rest of your life, save up and get a can you will be proud to own.

What would you recommend?

i have a spectre and I cannot find any faults with it and I would recommend it to anyone. Just look around here and on silencertalk and see what cans people are raving about.  Dont get all bent out of shape about take apart cans vs non take apart cans. It really doesnt make alot of difference, if anything it increases maintenance.

I own one, and have shot it for 4 years now.

Works well, and is quiet.

BUT, the reviews are right... they are ancient technology, but the size compensates for that. (slightly longer than most cans)

I currently own:

LCW Predator (cheapest)

TacSol Cascade (Titanium, very quiet)

Silencerco Sparrow (best design)

Gemtech Outback II (lightest, well made)

YHM stainless Mite (built like a tank)

JC,

It's going on the upper I got from you (arrived yesterday haven't got it from the post office yet).  Which one , of the ones you own, do you like best on it?

Thanks!

With a 4.5" barrel, I think just about anything will sound good.

Do you have a local C3 dealer who will do a demo with serious buyers?

If you were local, I'd let you hear each of them before you made up your mind.

Just look at your price range, and factor in the 200 tax, and possible dealer fee.

For the price, the Cascade has made me happy due to the titanium, the weight, the sound and the fact that I can do the "dip" to clean it. (so no need to have a take apart can)
