I'm currently looking at cans for a SPR type build.  I want as little POI shift as possible.  Does this limit me to over the barrel mount cans?  Origanally was thinking about getting a Gemtech Halo.  But if OTB mount cans have less POI shift then thats what I want.  What experiences have you guys had with Ops Inc 12th Model, AAC SPR/M4, and Surefire FA556AR regarding POI shift?

surefire m4fa owner here. It has nearly no poi shift. No complaints about the can in any form.

I own all three of the suppressors you mentioned, and they all have very little POI shift (less than 1 MOA) on the rifles I have them mounted to.

Ops Inc. 15th model; (not a 12th, but more data is betterer, right?)

16" LMT barrel (M4 profile), no discernable POI shift.

16" Sabre midlength barrel, gov't. profile.  1 MOA downward POI shift.

I'm guessing the middy barrel shift is mostly the weight of the can... it noticeably deflects the barrel downwards.

Thanks for the replies.  I was kinda leaning towards Ops Inc,  really am now after reading the link.  The mount with the collar looks like the best way to reduce stress at the muzzle. Thanks ratfink.

I failed to mention,  the barrels going on the 2 ar15's i'm building are a WOA 18" SPR 7" twist, and a Krieger 22" Varmatch 7.7" twist .720 muzzle dia.  both in 5.56.
