I am in the market for a .223 suppressor, but I want it to be able to run on all of my AR's in .223. I have a AR with a 24" Bull Barrel (0.924) and was wondering about having it threaded to accept a YHM QD attachment. The barrel has an inverted crown. Has anyone done this? Also, does anyone make a thread protector for a barrel with this diameter?

Here is a pic of the rifle:

If the crown is an issue when threading... it can simply be recrowned with almost no extra effort while in the lathe.

Why wouldn't you just leave the QD attachment installed as a thread protector?

I was waiting for someone to ask that. I bet I would never use it, just wanted one that matched up to the barrel.

Tornado can thread it and give you a matching thread protector.

Thanks guys!

I have another request - does anyone have a pic of a barrel like this with a muzzle attachment? A QD would be great, but any would do. I am curious to see how it lines up.
