thought i'd post it here in case anyone else needs this info:

i'm getting a kimber rimfire target conversion threaded for the QD 3 lug adapter for the Checkmate.  i'm drop shipping the kit from Midway to Tornado.  what info do i need to give Tornado on the threading and extension. i know the pitch is .5 x 28, but i don't know how long to tell them to thread the extension or how long to make it.  i won't have access to the adapters until i get home in 2 weeks, so sending them one is out.

btw, my form came back yesterday!!!!!!!! i'll give the time line when i see the date on the form. now i have to wait 2 weeks to try it out

The 3lug coupler will tolerate any length 1/2x28 thread between .400 industry std .22lr and .610-.630" std length for 5.56 Ar's.

So the extension threaded between those parameters will work.

I would reccommend spec-ing the .400 as that will give the device compatibility with all the cans that don't accept the .600 thread length, in case you sell it later.  So people with a Gemtech Outback or AAC pilot are more interested in the product.
