I am lookng at a 7.62 supressor.  Anybody familiar with SAS and how there FH Quick Mount System is?  I know they list it as an option, however I haven't been able to find a pic of one to look at and was just wondering if anybody here is familiar with this and how it works.

Anybdy have any comment on SAS in General?

I've been very happy with my SAS can.  Tim is great to deal with and will do or at least try just about anything you ask of him.

Give Ghostface an IM or email...he has the QD version.

I was speaking with Tim , they have a new , better QD design coming out very soon , If you can wait .

Cool.  He sent me some pictures of the old style, that isn't really a quick mount, but does what I want and doesn't require the removal and reinstallation of the FH.

Thanks again,

I have one that goes between the Ar15 and FAL. Not super fast like twist and click, but quicker than removing the flash hider and threading the can on.
I have had no issues with my can or mount.

Really? When he had my 30 cal can I was thinking about this new attach, but I believe he said that he decided to drop it as it was stable enough. Maybe he's come up with something new.

SAS are top rate cans, they may not be pretty, they may not have military conttracts, they may not have expensive marketing campaigns but they are just as good as anything eles out there for 2-3 times the price

IMO if a can is to warrent double or even three times the price of another it should give the user at least double the surpression.  since no matter how advanced a can is you cant take away the sonic crack and while it may sound diffrent from each other (like mufflers) when it comes down to it is goning to be close

SAS are great cans

Just a point of clarification:

When I bought my 30 cal can from Tim I expected it to look rough.  I was expecting weld marks and rough stamping of the serial number, etc.  For the price I paid I didn't figure it would look very good but I knew it would perform which was my only concern.  When I went to Tim's shop to pick it up I was shocked at how nice it was finished.  No weld marks, nice contour on the end and very professional stamping.  I haven't seen a SAS can with knurling or grooves on it to "fancy" it up but they look just as refined as every other can I've seen and better than a few.

ETA:  Spent the day on the 1000 yard range today.  Weather was crappy but I finished the day by putting round # 765 through my SAS can since I got it in September.  Zero problems, haven't cleaned it (just the threads), returns to zero every time and is as quiet today as it was when I first fired it.  I have limited exposure to other cans but mine is easily hearing safe and does everything I wanted a can to do.  I couldn't justify spending more to get another manufacturer's can if I wanted to.  I have three more SAS cans on order now.  A 5.56, 9mm and 22lr.  Currently debating on a .45ACP.

Yes...... I've posted this in another thread or two, but here is a video with my SAS on my DPMS 308 and a Savage 308 bolt gun.
