How many of you have traveled with your suppressor. I am going to be moving to Alaska (at least 90% sure) and don't want to mail it to myself. I am also disconcerted in the possibility of putting it in my luggage and sending it that way. Has anyone EVER successfully attempted to take one on board an aircraft? Is it legal since it's technically a firearm? |
| Do not attempt to take it on board. At best the TSA guy will know what it is and will take it away, for good. At the worst end he will think it is a bomb and there will be chaos and they will take it away for good. Find an SOT/FFL in AK and send it to them, then pick it up from said dealer when you arrive. |
Household good will be most likely by contract carrier. I am attempting to get my stuff shipped down to Travis AFB and then on one of our planes via POD. Only problem is that there are no POD retailers in Alaska |
