I'm thinking about switching from a 3-Lug to a threaded mount setup on my 9mm AR.  Does SWR make a threaded mount in 1/2"-36 tpi?  Or is 1/2"-28" the only option?

The 1/2"-36 tpi should be an option, but SWR may not make it very often, so it may be a while before more are available.

They do make it.  The 3-lug is 2-3 dB quieter though.  If you already have it, I'd leave it alone.

Is it quieter than the new style thread mount, or are you comparing it to the old style thread mount?

Stick with the 3lug.

It is a little quieter and is all A.T.A.S  :)

Mpallet cleared it up, but I was referring to the new one.  The old one was several dB louder, and the new one closed the gap but has not eliminated it.

Thanks.  I was going to order a new thread mount (I have the old style).  Now I've got to decide if I want the 3-lug instead, and deal with getting mounts for the various guns.

Ok...I got rid of my 5" TROS barrel a couple months back.  I was planning on a 9" TROS barrel.  What's the current lead time for these?

I guess my other option would be a thread on 3-Lug mount from TROS.

I have both a new and and old style 1/2-36 thread mount.  The old style was really f-ed up when I got the can and was not usable.  Looked to be an assembly issue with the two piece design.  The new one piece is pretty good.  I got one of the very first ones but shortly thereafter installed a TROS 3-lug adapter to my barrel and haven't looked back.

SWR told me that the fixed Trident mount is  available in both 1/2x28 or 1/2x36. The
LCD is available in 1/2x28 or 13.5x1lh.

Which pattern is considered best for each, the LCD and the fixed mount?

Thanks
