Is it normal to see brass or copper colored sreaks in the same spot on the endcap? I have a can that has about 1-2mm of brass-colored streak.

Most folks who own suppressors I've asked tell me it's not normal--especially since the bullet is flying 1 foot off target shooting 3yrds from the target.

The manufacturer tells me it's normal, but is checking the barrel to see if that the problem.

Anyone care to offer some advice?

One foot off target, 3 yards from the target is not normal.

Check alignment visually by looking down the bore.  Inspect the baffles for evidence of strikes or grazes. Correct the problem before continuing to use the product.

If it's just the endcap, I'd still inspect the alignment/threads and the way it's mating to the barrel, but if all that was normal, then it probably has a pretty tight bore and only the endcap is interfereing.  In that case, I'd dremel a relief in the endcap to alleviate the contact, or ream the endcap to the next bigger size if aesthetics are important.

Not normal.

There is an alignment issue.

Tell us more ... what can, what barrel, etc.

It's a 5.7 can and a Jarvis barrel

If you look at the way the threads mate- if there is a shoulder, is it mating? or can you see light between the barrel and can (evidence it's not).   Is a thread relief on the barrel or can lacking and interfering so the shoulder doesn't mate properly?

If the design indexes on the barrel crown measure the depth to that internal shoulder with a calipers and see if it's threading on deep enough for that surface to mate.

Troubleshooting is pretty simple.  If it's not aligned properly, and the thread shoulders are mating properly, either it or the barrel is a defective product, so it's probably best to send it to the manufacturer for repair.

Already done.

Am waiting and trying to gather info--I'm not a long-standing suppressor owner, so I'm hoping to get answers and experience for you folks with more of both.

I'm in the "please be patient while we evaluate everything...." mode. The manufacturer did initially tell me it was normal, and was the ammo. Now that several folks have had it happen they're looking closer at things.

Thanks for the info!

Make sure that the recoil rod isn't hitting the suppressor on full recoil. I know some people have that issue.

Rounds a foot off target at 3 yards under normal conditions, isn't going to happen.  I hope you find a solution to the problem.

I had the same problem with a 9mm Jarvis barrel 1/2 28 threaded for my Beretta 92FS M9A1.  I use it with a Gemtech Trinity.  First few shots out of it flew at random unpredictable trajectories and took some paint off the end cap.

I was referred to Jarvis by Gemtech, contacted Gemtech and they had me send the barrel and suppressor to them.  They took care of the problem by putting a new threaded insert into my Trinity and I have had no problems since.  They never really told me what all they did, I just know I got it back in better condition then I sent it in and it operated correctly after receiving it back.

Sounds like you've already talked to the manufacturer, I think that's the way to go.  Hopefully it all turns out ok for you.  Good luck
