[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AAC M4-2000 Mod 07 Flash Hider Options

A year or two ago I had one of those little pocket book AAC catalogs that showed 4 or 5 different flash hider mounts for their M42K. SopMod, phantom, A2, blank, etc...but their website only shows a phantom style for the new 07 model.

Are any other flash hider options available for the '07 model besides the phantom ?
A Vortex maybe???

They now come with the Blackout three prong. It is most like a Vortex for comparison. Phantom, I believe will be discontinued.

Here's a start...

Some are for the M4 2000 (& Mod 7) and some are for other AAC suppressors.

Yeah, the only one I saw with the little teeth for the '07 model was the phantom style. I wonder if that's it for now?

I believe the little teeth indicate a ratchet model.
The AAC Blackout Ratchet mount (no picture but there is a description) should work with the M42K mod7.

HKPDW, thanks for linking to our site! It's still a work in progress, but we're getting there.

For the M4-2000 Mod 07, the two primary mounts are the phantom flash hider + ratchet lock, and Blackout three-prong flash hider + ratchet lock.

Although an M4-2000 Mod 07 will fit on the older detent retainer style flash hiders (M4-1000, 2006 M4-2000), IMO the new ratchet is a must have. It works too well. I would say the Blackout mounts look very strong, with a small weight penalty vs. the (thin-walled) Phantom.

The blackout was developed for military trials and is, told to me, better in flash supression. I think the phantom just looks cooler though!.

they're both 2 and 9/16" long, overall. The distance from the ratchet forward is the same.
