Does the .mil std for testing suppressors restrict the microphone and meter readings to the sound waves within the range generally perceived by the human ear?

Assume a gunshot produces sound waves well below and well above the hz levels that we perceive.

Assume suppressor A does a better job of suppressing in the 20hz - 20khz range, but Does a lousey job of suppressing sound waves higher than we can percieve.

Assume Suppressor B does a mediocre job of suppressing the entire sound spectrum, including the sound wave we cannot perceive.

If the microphone picks up the entire sound spctrum, including sounds humans can't perceive, will the .mil std show Suppressor B as doing a better job, when to the ear, suppressor A sounds as if it works better?
