For those that have had to add a new barrel when suppressing a pistol, how many rounds did it take before the gun cycled reliably with the suppressor? If you could list your pistol make, model, caliber, barrel manufacturer and suppressor it might be nice to give folks an idea of what to expect. |

All these worked perfectly with zero problems and no break-in period required: G19 with KKM barrel and AAC Evo-9 (9mm) G19 with threaded factory barrel and AAC Evo-9 CQC (9mm) Kimber Custom II with Jarvis drop-in barrel and Evo-45 (45ACP) Springfield Armory Mil-spec with Jarvis drop-in barrel and Evo-45 (45ACP) Beretta 92 with modified factory barrel (by AAC) and AAC M9-SD (9mm) Beretta 92 with threaded factory barrel and AAC Delta-9 (9mm) Ruger 22/45 with Tactical Solutions Pac-lite barrel and various cans to include Pilot, Warlock, Outback II, Cascade, Prodigy and Aviator. Would you mind telling us all where you got one of these? I’ve got 300 rounds through a Glock 19/Evo-9 with a LW barrel that’s still not working, but it’s probably my subsonic load (working on it). |

Gotta know the right folks! AAC had a bunch of factory Glock barrels threaded by a well-known machine shop. These were not offered for sale. The barrels are awsome. My KKM barrel won't shoot some factory ammo due to the tight chamber. The Glock barrel eats anything. I bought two of the Glock barrels and sold one to a good friend who really needed a barrel fast. I should have sold him the KKM! Mark |
Any idea where they got extended factory barrels for the 19? As I'm sure you know the 17's don't fit and I wasn't aware Glock made any longer barrels for the 19. |
These are G19 barrels that were trimmed down and a threaded extention was installed. It was a costly project, but the barrels were done VERY well and the extension will not come off. I begged them to make more. Mark |
Thanks Mark, too bad it's not cost effective, I'm sure there would be a market for them if they were. |
I use the same load and they didn't even eject. After 300 rounds of standard ball 3.7 ejected most of the time but wouldn't load the next round. I'm going to run another 100 rounds of ball and then try 3.9. I'll try factory stuff if I have to but as a reloader it pains me to even think about buying it. |

Mark, Yeah, you could definitely say that. The day I taped all those videos, I ran probably 5-6 boxes of wwb, 50 rounds of which were wet. Toward the very end, I got a couple ftc. When I got home, I stripped everything down. I scrubbed the feed-ramp and surrounding area on the bbl and the inside of the slide for nearly an hour with a bronze brush/solvent. Carbon, lead, you name it, it was there. I ended up having to scrub so hard that the black/anodized finish wore off the firing pin recess area as well as the inside of the slide near the ejection port. I think I'll stick to dry from now on |
keep a straight arm and grip the hell out of it. |
