hello all,

just got my first can today [gemtech HVT w/ bi-lock mount] and have a few questions for anyone that has experience with these suppressors:

- is it really required to use their special tool to mount the bi-lock flash suppressor? i don't have a wrench that fits the flats correctly [i'm assuming it's some proprietary size; please correct me if i am wrong] and it seems that unless i "rent or purchase" their special tool that mounts to a 1/2" socket, i can't use a torque wrench to tighten it onto the barrel and acheive the suggested 20-30 lbs accurately. i know i can jury-rig a wrench to crank it down as tight as i can, but that doesn't seem like a good idea. any suggestions?

- i [solidly] hand-tightened the mount onto the barrel just to figure out how to mount/dismount the can and noticed that there is a tiny [we're talking a mm or two] amount of lateral play on the can when fully mounted as per the instuctions; is this normal for suppressors with a quick mount, or should it be "rock solid"? very wary about a baffle strike because it's not mounted properly.

sorry for the newbie questions, but i just don't want to go off and screw up a brand new suppressor. any advice would be very helpful. thanks!

I just use a Crescent wrench and rock set. Snug it up and go.

one place to get rocksett

I'm sure aac, gemtech, yhm or any of suppressor manufactures probably has it for sale.  might even check with a dealer if you have one  close by.

I have *heard* on the internet that bi-lock mounts have a lil wobble. No personal experience though.
