Does anyone have one? It says it has a quick mount & adapter. Is this setup good? I cant seem to find any pics of the mount. How is the sound suppression compared to other 22 cans?  Thanks

It's made longer to compete with other longer silencers so it is quieter than the std. 1"X6" units around.  The QD is an interrupted thread but it will also fit on std. 1/2X28 threads if the host weapon threads are not interrupted.

So you just have to decide if longer is ok for your application.

What David said.  SC-Texas has one.  It's longer but it's VERY quiet.   Here is Rugerdog's OutbackII, My AAC Pilot, and SC-Texas' AAC Aviator.   While Rugerdog and I were shooting Remington subsonic, SC-Texas was shooting regular velocity ammo and there was little to NO difference.  I was impressed.   Granted it wouldn't go supersonic out of the advantage arms .22 conversion, supersonic ammo is still louder than subsonic normally.   I personally was impressed with the aviator.

BSSSVS (Before someone says suppressor videos suck):

I know the spill, it's just fun to see them in action.  Also, on into the video, we hold the three cans side by side to show the length difference.

You can use it on standard 1/2"-28 threaded barrel, but due to the particular desing of the Prodigy/Aviator mount design there is much less thread engagemnt on a typical P22 adapter for example.  It also wouldn't index properly on the shoulder of a 1/2"-28 threaded bull barrel, like a 10/22 or MkII.

The Prodigy mount indexes just fine on my bull barreled 10/22.  It does have slightly less thread engagement due to its design, but it is more than adequate for all my other hosts as well.

That's a great video! I know all the naysayers say vids are worthless, but I really enjoy them. The sound quality was really good btw.

Interrupted theads are a proven technique used in lots of applications.  How much thread engagement do you need in a lightweight 22lr can anyway?

The special indexing is only required if you are mounting it on a barrel that has the corresponding interrupted threads.

Nice video.

It sounded like the Aviator allowed a shooter to use full power ammo at the sound level of subsonics, and that's a good deal...

Bingo, that's what impressed me.
