Will a 7.62 suppressor work for any .30 cal rifle?  Specifically, a .300 WSM?  Or would you need a separate can for a .308, .30-06, .300, etc?

It depends on if you bought a cheap light duty .308 silencer rated for light duty use, if you bought an expensive heavy duty unit designed for such use.

Yes the product you seek is available.

OK, so what would the results be with a light weight one versus a heavy duty one?  I assume you mean a heavy duty 7.62 suppresor?

Define what you mean by results.

I would check with the maker of whichever brand you are looking at.
When you get into centerfire rifle calibers, they are usually overbuilt for safety, but if you are going to go above a 308 I would be sure.
The heavy duty ones have thicker tube walls or stronger material.(and weigh more)
Most are now built to take up to the 300WM.
I believe the next step up is the 338Lapua.
