I just got my Form 4s back from the CLEO. Took them about a week to mail them back to me and I got the signatures! Now I just need to get my fingerprints and photos taken and the ATF should be getting their check my next payday! I am excited to get my first NFA toy. I'll keep you all posted on the progress.![]() Mailed Forms: 4/28/07 Check Cashed: 5/4/07 In my hands 6/9/07 |
I am going to buy the exact same can for the exact same two guns! Shoot more and continue to keep us posted on how things go. Just picked up my P22 today. My 10/22 I've had for years. I'll need a new barrel for that one. Congrats! |
I've shot one on a P22 before and I loved it. Question on the rifle... on the P22 we used Walmart Federal Bulk pack (the copper washed hollow points). Out of the pistol I know they are subsonic because it is QUIET, but I think they are faster out of the rifle. Have you tried that ammo through the rifle? What kind of ammo do you normally shoot through it? Thanks, I hope to have mine before the end of the summer |
If you shoot high velocity out of the rifle it pretty much sounds like there is no can on the rifle. We did side by side tests yesterday. My friend was shooting his 10/22 with no can and I was shooting my 10/22 with the TAC 65. We both used American Eagle high velocity. He would take a shot and then I would. The can gets rid of the pop, but not the crack. They sound very similar. Out of the 10/22 I have been using CCI standard velocity and it works great. I have tried subsonic and they are super quiet, but don't always cycle the action. If you hold the action closed while taking your shot it is even more quiet, no port noise. In the P22 I am mostly shooting American Eagle high velocity. Good luck and let me know when you get your can. Did you decide on the TAC 65? |
I'm 99% sure on the Tac65. I mainly want it for my P22 and Buckmark, but I'd like to use it on my 10/22 as well, I was just hoping I could get it to shoot as quiet as the pistols. I'm just saving the money at this point, so until I throw it down on the table I guess it could always change.
