For those of you that didn't get one of these all I can say is damn you missed out.  Get in on the next run unless Bookhound has some left!

I just picked mine up from the guys at PSI and it is cool!  I bought an additional 1/2 28 to 1/2 28 interrupted adapter and set them up on my .22 AR upper and on my MKII pistol.  The fast attach is cool as can be and super fast on and off.  I ran a box of ammo  through it tonight and this thing sounds like an airgun!

I cant wait to blast some more ammo tomorrow through it!!

My transfer was 24 days mail box to mail box at PSI!  The new ATF is doing a great job on the NFA transfers!!

Can the Prodigy handle .22lr full auto fire?

The Prodigy is rated for automatic fire.  I have one inbound and will test it extensively.

This is a video of it on full auto

"The new ATF is doing a great job on the NFA transfers!!"

Careful with that.  The ATF is doing allright, but the transfers should really take minutes, not weeks.  This is a computor age.   We've come a long way since the Pony express.

FYI the manual dated February 2, 2007 that is provided with the Prodigy doesn't advocate that.  It explicitly states:

"Although quite durable , the PRODIGY Silencer is designed ONLY FOR USE ON SINGLE SHOT, BOLT ACTION AND/OR SEMIAUTOMATIC .22LR FIREARMS!  Using a Prodigy silencer on any centerfire firearm and/or .22LR machinegun will most likely result in the destruction of the silencer, unnecessary wear and tear to the internal components, injury to the user, and damage to the host firearm.  Evidence of use of a Prodigy silencer on a centerfire weapon and/or machinegun will void the warranty."

ETA, thought you might want to know.  I would really hate for you to blow it up before you got the chance to clean it.

I thought it was rated for full auto, but the manual reflects otherwise.  This will not prohibit me from using the can on full auto.

this one is full-auto rated . though not on an AM180 . it is just to much heat for the AL internals. I'm making a SS and Ti version for that.

this was 100rds of CCI std velocity. most of the noise was the bolt.

I have not made up my mind yet on this one.............

Tac-65 or Prodigy

I know the Prodigy is a little better but, two hundred dollar difference is alot right now and will be for the next year.

2007 will be NFA only, except my lowers I will get for my b-day in three weeks.

There should be more than a $200 difference between those two. Either the TAC65 is over priced or the Prodigy is a steal. MSRP is $234 v. $595.

I picked up mine yesterday, here's some pics:

I tested it today on a 10-22 with a Tac-Sol barrel on it.

The rifle and pistol had the same results:
Quietest
1. Aguila
2. CCI pistol match
3. Winchester super x
4. CCI green tag
5. CCI SGB
6. CCI minimags
7. Winchester wildcat

The Aguila sucks ass, but it was the quietest in the pistol and in the rifle. This is because it turned both into basically single shot guns.

The pistol match is what I will be buying in bulk as well as the Winchester super X. They were indistinguishable on the rifle but the pistol match was quieter on the pistol.

I'll post some good pics on Sunday.
