Man, I just got a look at the Tactical Innovations "Quest" suppressor on their website.
This thing looks bad to the bone! All stainless and comes apart for cleaning.
I'm really pleased with my TAC-16 so I think I'll let my "Pilot" stay on my "BuckMark" and get one of these for my new Rhineland Arms/1022 (after Christmas is paid for).
If any of you have any first hand experience with the "Quest", I would love to hear some reviews.
Thanks in advance

I wonder what that cut is for:

It's meant to catch more stuff for you to clean out!

Sorry 1928A1--couldn't help it!

If you mean the rings around the conical portion, IIRC Gemtech first did that to add more turbulance to the system. All the thing lacks is a "Dater" hole in it and it will be a near clone of the Outback & Pilot baffle.

Someone should try giving a baffel the pebble finish like a golf ball has.  Increased surface area, increased heat transfer, just like fluting on a barrel.

But for how long?
Wouldn't they fill up quickly and soon behave like a smooth baffle?

Filling up is probably why you take them apart and clean them.

Well, I understand that...!
I'm just wondering if the dimples would only have the benefit for a few mags.
Depending on application, maybe that's perfect.

I just figure there are companies constantly experimenting with both
computer modeling and real world testing. Fooling around with baffle texture
seems quite easy to do, if it dramatically altered the sound, wouldn't
we see it more often?
