I was reading the manual and it says to remove the washer on the barrel and degreas  but doesn't say anything about putting it back on with the new flash suppressor.

Matt is correct.

De-grease.

Put a couple small drops of Rock-Set on the threads.

Install AAC flash suppressor.

And make sure to torque the AAC FS per the instructions (20-30 lbs).

Also, make sure you de-grease the threads inside the FS too.  Make sure the FS threads and the threads on the barrel are completely dry before installing the FS.  I put a couple drops of Rockset on the barrel threads and a couple drops inside the FS.  Let it sit over night before using.

Rock-Set?

Where can you get this?

Wasn't in the Brownells catalog and didn't come up in a google search.

Are there any other thread-locking products that will work?  Loctite?

Thanks!

It comes with the AAC flash suppressors.  If you need some, I can hook you up.  Shoot me an e-mail with your address or we can meet up somewhere.  I live in Braselton and work in Norcross when I'm not working at home.
