Hey, folks.

Is there any downsides to the A3 Carry Handle?

Thanks.

The sight channel on an A3 handle is a tad narrower than a standard A1 or A2 sight channel so some carry handle mounts / bases will not fit. Also the front area on the A3 handle has a different radius so this can also impact what offset mount you can use. Plus theres always the fact you need to check the tightening nuts to ensure the handle is secure with no movement.

...and I can't fit my figures through the attachable carry handle.  I can on the A2.

Atleast on my bushy you loose the 800 meters/yrds setting. It only goes to 600 meters/yds.

hehehe  I have to agree, my famous chicken is the best.  See, I've been on the lookout for a pre-Ban Bushmaster.  At first, I was going to buy just a lower and smack a M4 A3 upper on it.   Since they're going for so much, I thought it would be better to buy a complete rifle and get an HBAR A2 to compliment the M4 A3 upper.  What do you folks think?

You sure about that?  You have some kind of custom upper with a hole in the top that allows the 'stem' of the rear sight to go down into the receiver?

What does it matter?  Are you gonna be shooting hostiles at 800yds?

I doubt you'd ever use iron sights out past 300yds...
