Has anyone heard of the Remington 710? Think it's any good or is it really bad?

Yeah, its the budget bolt-action from Remington.

Don't expect it to have the accuracy of the 700 but its not unreasonable for an inexpensive gun.

It would seem that it is being marketed toward people who hunt occasionally and don't plan to shoot it all of the time.

It has a pressed in barrel versus the 700's threaded barrel.

I've HEARD (rumor) that the trigger it not the best but not bad for the price either.

What are you looking for in a bolt action??

I'm looking for a bolt-action that would help improve my shooting. It would basically be a practice rifle, so I don't think it'll be that bad. I like the fact it comes with a scope too

I've shot two and both were the same.The bolt is rough in the action and the trigger is four miles of bad road.For @ $30.00 more you can get a 700ADL
