I once again call upon the keen minds of my AR15 brothers!

I would like to hear opinions (good, bad, indifferent) about this rifle.  The asking price is $400 from my friend with a 20rnd mag.  This one has green furniture.

Thanks in advance,

Jarhead

Hesse rifles have a stellar reputation...for being total crap. I personally wouldn't wanna buy any 1/2assed HK copy, of any make.

For me to poop on!

Of the crap Hesse makes, the HK clone is probably the best.  Price is fair for it - IF it works OK.

Sometimes the mag well is tight, requiring some file work.  Claw mount scopes often will not fit as receiver is not "to spec".  Other than that, they generally work OK.

You could get lucky and get a great shooter.......good luck EVER selling it. The FMP (Portugal)clones seem to be the best for the money. They are made on the same sheet metal receivers that the HK's were made from. Stay away from the aluminum receivered ones also.

Run Away! To make things clearer, it's a half a notch up on Toad's special weapons clone.

I've been told my numerous AW junkies to avoid Hesse rifles like Rosie O'Donnell's show!!

Friends do not let friends own Hesse G3's. As a retired jarhead I must advise you to stay away from Hesse and keep your friend. Good luck. Charles.

Thanks for all the replies. I thought this would be the response.  Is the Century Arms version any better?  Better yet, does anyone know a crackhead who will sell an HK91 for $400?
