Has anyone ever tried using a brass catcher on any of their weapons? I've seen a few (bag type&hardtype} in shotgun news or somewhere. I was wondering how good they worked. Did they cause jams or anything? Just curios. |
We have them at work for our AR's. They cover the ejection port and are held in place by a detent ball that locks into the hole in the carrying handle. As far as catching brass..they work great. For use while instructing shooters, they are a curse. You have to remove them to clear the weapon and clear a jam. This causes to much muzzle movement IMHO. I don't use them for that reason. Besides..picking up brass is part of shooting.
