Personally, I like the rubber coated Hogue pistol grips...
They fit my hand perfect... I have them on all my AR's... They retail for about $20... |

I havn't tried many, but I like the Bushmaster M16A2 Stowaway grip. I don't carry anything in the grip right now, but I like the feel of it. It is slightly wider than the stock grip.

I have the Hogues on my ARs, too. By far the most ergonomic aftermarket grips available. Try one!

Hogues. Very sticky and fit great, with just enough give to accomodate your grip. They look nice, too. Not too fancy like the PSG-style grips.

I like my Ergo-Grip. Even if it's a tad too thin crosswise. It has a "backstrap" that goes up behind the lower to move your hand back about half an inch.
Too bad I don't have a lower to put it on! |

I've had Hogue grips on at least 20 firearms throughout the years. I've got them on 2 of my ARs now, as well as another rifle and at least 5 handguns. And the Hogue slipover sleeves on my CAV-15s. Go with the Hogue.

If you have a gun that accepts Hogue grips, you should install them immediately! I've already ordered them for the Hi-Power I don't own yet.

Anyone tried the ZM Weapons grip? It approximates the grip angle of a 1911. Is that a good thing for an AR?

A1 pistol grip. I didn't like the Hogue, Ergo, and HK91-style grips and the finger ridge on the A2 wore some skin off during the last AR course I took.

I love the PSG-1 style grip I have, for me at least I love to have a palm shelf. For just a plain jane grip I like stow-aways because having a hole in the bottom of my grip drive me nuts, don't know why but it does.

I like the Stowaway, and keep my (field usable) spare parts there. I have them on all my AR's. |

Stowaway. That stowed-away stuff always with the rifle might come in handy some day. Grip is reminiscent of an arched-grip 1911A1, and fits my medium to large hand well. No thumbrests, etc, so it is ambi, should that ever become useful. (If it ever becomes useful, it might be VERY useful, if you know what I mean).

The aftermarket grips feel nice, but it's no big deal. I just think ARs look odd with anything but original grips.
It doesn't matter on a space gun. |

Cast another vote for the Ergo-Grip from Falcon Industries. Since I bought mine, several friends of mine have tried it and bought one. Best grip on the market IMHO - PERIOD!!!

I've tried most of these grips you mentioned. My favorite by far, is the Sierra precision Rifle Grip or SPR. Sinclair International sells them and maybe a few other places.
It's made of the same stuff as the USGI grip but shaped different. It has a thumb rest and moves your hand back a tad to give better trigger finger placement.
