It is just like a registered receiver, got to be transfered and all.  I think you can do private transfer on Curios with out going to a class 3 dealer.  I did it through a dealer.

Is that S&W a Curio?  Just wondering.

What is the price range on C&R ful-autos?  Is it the same as the class III stuff or can they be had for less?

Another state, take up residence in another state.  and knowing a C3 Law enforcement dealer doesn't hurt either.
