Yes, another nickel boron bcg thread...

So I picked up 2 from AIM for 99 a piece as I'm very happy with my 1st in my spr (spikes).

They came in the mail, I stripped them for inspection and lube and noticed something I've never seen before.

Both bolts have an "X" etched into them.

I didn't buy the "exo-coated" BCG'S but all I can figure is this is a trademark of the same.

Am I right or is this some sort of "factory seconds" marking?

And I doubt AIM would sell seconds without listing a product as such.

Nickel boron plating is not easy to do. Only a few companies really do it well. I would not go cheap and expect the same quality. Many do it, few do it well. I doubt AIM is doing it in house. I hope they work out well in the long run.
