Has anyone seen any in person? I see they are making their way onto Gunbroker.com, over MSRP of course.

There seems to be more .40 than 9mm for some reason, but I always expect the opposite of the best strategy when it comes to KelTec marketing and sales.

I have one of the G17 mag versions, 9MM.

Its a blast to shoot, currently have about 400 rounds through it with no issue. would love to find a way to mount a red dot while keeping the ability to fold.
Payed about $500 for it in July, it has since made a few road trips folded up in the back of the car.

I have yet to see another one locally.

Nutnfancy (yea yea here come the Nutn haters) posted his review video of the Gen 2 Sub2K.

He has a red dot mounted on a 45 degree offset that allows the gun to almost completely fold. It doesn't quite lock but it gave me some inspiration. If we find a low-profile enough mount, it might allow this. That would be sweettttt

I have been wondering if a Larue LT755 could fit on the rail while folded with a red dot mounted in it and flipped to the side.  The new design is a LOT flatter then Larue's old flip mount and there appears to be a gap between the rail and tube on the S2K gen 2 when folded.

I saw one at a gun show a while back, 9mm Glock mag version. Don't remember the price but I was surprised that I even saw one.

The day I traded my Gen 1 away I stopped at a LGS and couldn't believe my eyes when two of the G17 9mm Gen 2 were hanging on the wall. I ended up buying one since the Gen 2 basically fixed everything I hated about the Gen 1. I have about 300 rounds through mine and it has worked perfectly. I put a Bushnell TRS-25 on a cheap UTG 3 slot QD riser for a cheap easy/off red dot.

I got a chance to handle one at a gun show recently. Without shooting it, I was impressed by the upgrades. It has a much less "toy" like feel about it. I enjoy my Gen 1 sub2K but I only paid $254 for it out the door. If the price were right (say $400 out the door) I might buy a Gen 2.

My guess, is that the 9mm's sell while the .40s sit on the shelf.

A buddy had a .40 sub 2000 and it was not a pleasure to shoot at all.  It had the sharpest recoil ive ever experienced in any sort of firearm.  All of us had bruises in shape of the butt stock from the damn thing. While we had no problem shooting M44s, mausers, and shotguns.

Its a shame, i really wanted to like the sub 2000. Maybe had it been in 9mm, id think differently, but the .40 cal one just wasnt what id thought it should be.

I have no idea why they are even bothering making a .40 version at this point... OH WAIT... it's KelTec, none of their manufacturing decisions make sense.

Im not sure either, since the 9mm ones fly off the shelves.  Probably the same reasons why .40 pistols still sell. Suckers looking for something in between 9mm and 45.

It still baffles my mind how any pistol cartridge fired out of a carbine could be so uncomfortable and displeasing to shoot. Needless to say, the owner of it traded it for something else.

The only problem I've had with mine is that it has a tendency to cause all 9mm ammo in the area to evaporate.

I shot one at the range a couple weeks ago. The trigger was mushy and heavy, but good groups were easy. No problems to report. Neat little carbine,

He has a red dot mounted on a 45 degree offset that allows the gun to almost completely fold. It doesn't quite lock but it gave me some inspiration. If we find a low-profile enough mount, it might allow this. That would be sweettttt

Yeah Nutn has retracted his praise of the Gen2 now. The front sight block comes loose and is only held on by a single screw, and the new front rail also comes loose. In his latest carbine shootout, he points out these issues (jump to 7:58 in the video). After buying a keltec PF9 and having all the problems I have had with it, I am of the opinion that anything from Keltec is crap. Anyways, here is a link to the video.

My .40" gives a good little shove - it's a light .40" S&W carbine throwing a 180 grn bullet - unless you put a recoil pad on it, it's going to leave a bruise.

Saw a Gen 2 (gen 3?  ) @ the last gun show I hit.  Looks like they've fixed some issues.  A Red Lion rotating forend would be the bomb, I should think.

I have a Gen I (Glock 17 version) that I have had for years. I paid $179 for it brand new from a brick and mortar gun shop. I love that gun but I'll be damned if I'll pay above MSRP for a new one.

roy d...it's still a Kel Tec after all

Lol. How is a business plan that's steadily grown over 10+ years bad? Guns chambered in 40 still sell just fine regardless of Internet opinion. As stated above the 9mm's probably don't last long enough to make it to gunbroker which is why the 40's are more prevalent.
