I'm about to pick up an M1A today. I think I'll have a representative of every significant 7.62x51 battle rifle design that's been in service by a major military besides the G3 (HK91).
- M14 (M1A) - Mk17 (SCAR 17S) - .308 AR (LMT MWS) - FAL (Stg58) Am I missing anything else? |

The FAL is right arm of the free world. Also, OP needs needs an AK varient in .308 to represent the not-so-free world.

ArmaLite made some of those about 10-15 years ago complete with charging handle inside the carry handle loop. |
