So what are they? I am toying with the idea of buying one. Not sure if I will, but I wanted to know what the options were.
So, in a perfect world, I'd blow 4k on a Larue OBR or KAC SR25. But, since I am not that wealthy (yet), let's see if there is a cheaper option. I would like something that is modern (as in, not a G3, not a FAL, not a Garand) SCAR 17 PWS Mk216 XCR-M?? LWRCI REPR (is this piston) Anything else I should look in to? |

Have to say, the SCAR is not as appealing to me. For one, I just haven't liked it when I've shot it. Maybe I'm too used to AR style rifles.
That being said, the idea of proprietary mags bothers me for some reason. Finally, it wasn't as accurate as I would have preferred. I understand that I'll probably never be able to match a SR25/OBR's sub-MOA accuracy, but it seemed to me that the 2-3 MOA I was holding with the SCAR was less than ideal. I suppose that is the trade off when you get something so sturdy. |
