Long story short here...

Bought a NIkon Slughunter.. had problems..Sent in for repair, came back after service.

They said they adjusted collimation..

My original problem was that the 1/4moa clicks would result in more like 1moa at the target (sometimes more, sometimes less).  Adjusting the scope was hit and miss.

Can someone tell me how and/or why collimation would affect the scope?

I'm no optics expert, but I always thought that was a term used to optically align both halves/sides of a BInocular system.
If that's in fact correct, I fail to understand it's relevance in a riflescope.

I'd like to hear an expert's opinion to further my education on the subject.
