| Hey guys, I'm looking for a solid rifle scope that will be good for a hunting rifle in .30-06. Which brands are best for a nice scope and rings set up around 250? This will be going on a Ruger American so it doesn't need to be super fancy I just want the best bang for my buck. |
| You may be able to get alittle more scope for you money by buying used in the EE. I've always have had good luck with Burris. They usually have some type of combination deal were you get a 3X9 Fullfield II Scope and a spotting scope or a GPS or a pair of binoculars for around the $200.00 mark. They're decent for the money and have a Forever Warrenty. |
| I bought a Bushnell 4200 Elite from Natchez for about that when they went on clearance a couple years ago. Since then, they've dropped the model numbers and just kept the Elite name. I believe what they're calling "Elite" now used to be the "3200 Elite" line. I'm happy as heck with my 4200. You can get the regular "Elite" for around $260 - $280 from SWFA. |
