[ARCHIVED THREAD] - question about scope mount height

OK, I have a Zeiss DiaVari 3-12 X 56 on my Remington 700 bolt gun, and I want to buy the Larue two piece QD mounts in 30 mm. I have the scope in the LT-104 but its too high for proper cheek weld.

Does anyone already use a 56mm objective on their bolt gun? and if so, what height rings would one choose in the LaRue? Would it be the LT-123 or the LT 808?

Don't want to buy twice. THX

Buy the lower one. If it doesn't fit, return it.
Did this with seekins rings but the other way. Bought mediums and they were real high on a 50mm obj
returned them hassle free for low rings.
