I want to get an AR-10.  Should I pay the extra money for the Armalite or would one of the other brands be just as good for less money?  I'm thinking Rock River, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

M. Man,
AR-10 is a mark owned by ArmaLite and they are the only company building an AR-10.  Even if the preceding was not true, spend the money and get the REAL deal !!  (I did.)

In case you're not sure, an AR-10 is .308 (7.62 x 51), or .243 currently. RRA only builds AR-15 type rifles in .223 or 5.56 x 45.
The AR-10 has a lifetime warranty. My Eagle Arms parts gun (AR-10) does not.

As far as AR15 style rifles in 308 you have Armalite and Hesse.I've got a Armalite AR10A4 with S.S. barrel and I love it.As far as Hesse, the only idiots worse than these guys are Century Arms.PLEASE TRUST ME,you get what you pay for!!!If your budget doesn't allow for a Armalite AR10 then go with Armalites budget line, Eagle Arms.

Thanks guys.  Duh on my part... I was thinking Eagle Arms and wrote Rock River.

A friend of mine who has an AR-15 voiced the same sentiments and while he felt there was nothing wrong with the Eagle Arms rifle, go for the Armalite if I could afford it.

While we're on the subject, are there any other high quality .308's that compare to the AR-10 in workmanship at about the same price range?

Thanks again.
